Hi
Got this set cheap from a store. It has 3 rings of RROD and can't see anything on screen. Anyway to check it's a banned set? Thanks

i think you're going to have to get it fixed and then see if you can connect to live. i can't see any other way of doing it.

i dont think MS will, but its worth a shot, only thing bad that could happen is they send it back, then you just do the x-clamp fix for it and pray it works.

i just thought of this but you coluld take the face plate off and if the warrenty sticker is still there there is a chance it hasnt been flashed meaning no chance of a ban.

yea, most experienced flashers, will put the sticker back on the console when they are done, and you will never be able to tell it has been opened. at least that how i do it.
