when every i make a backup copy of my dvd it wont play on my ps2 but it will work on my dvd player i use dvd+r discs i have a emprex dvd dual dvd+r+rw drive can some one help me plz !!!!!

well, how old is your ps2, or what version is it? Older ones wont play +R discs.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader

What mod do you have for your PS2(swap disc or chip mod)? Need some sort of modification in order to play back up discs on the PS2.

i have a dvd-r writer and i have copyed over 100 dvds and all of them work on my ps2 (must be the + )

i dont have a mod chip nethier does my cuz he bearly bought it last december when ever he makes back up movie they work on my ps2 but when i make a backup copy it wont work on my ps2 is it my burner or version of my ps2

i want to know something- if i use Alchohol 120% to backup ps2 games and have a mod chip -should they work or is there something more? also can a moded ps2 play ps1 backups?

What speed are you burning at? Also what version PS2 are you using? You may want to test burning at 1X or 2X. The older PS2's play DVD-R discs rather than the +R's.

1st, what mod are you using? Below is the method for burning the games (purple or black games are CD's and the silver games are DVD's). There is a different method for booting the games, it depends on the mod. Hope this helps.
Using Alcohol 120% for PS2 DVD games
1. Start Alcohol 120%
2. Select ?Copy Wizard?
3. Select your Reader
4. For ?Separate Image file every:? choose ?Never Separate?
5. Select or Deselect ?Copy current disc on the fly?, press Next
6. Select your Image location and Name for it, press Next
7. Select your Writer, Write Speed and anything else you feel you might need
8. Select or Deselect ?Delete image file after recording?
9. Press Start to begin
Using Alcohol 120% for PS1/PS2 CD games
1. Start Alcohol 120%
2. Select ?Copy Wizard?
3. Select your Reader & Read Speed
4. Select or Deselect ?Copy current disc on the fly?
5. For Data type select which console PS1 or PS2, press Next
6. Select your Image location and Name for it, press Next
7. Select you Writer, Write Speed and anything else you feel you might need
8. Make sure the Data type selected is the same you chose above
9. Press Start to begin

I believe that you can play the backup PS1 games on the modded PS2 if the mod is Swap Magic w/ CD & DVD booting software.
