Disc Read Error with Wiigator 0.3 gamma (Okami/De Blob)

When trying to play the Okami backup I'm getting the disc read error right off the bat. When doing De Blob I get it right after trying to create a profile. I've googled the problems and found others with the same issues and some who successfully got them to work but no clear answers as to how to fix the problem.

I was wondering if anybody here has gotten them to work with the backup loader and what methods were used in getting there. I'm using Wiigator 0.3 gamma, Sony DVD-R's with IMGBurn on 2x-4x, NTSC-U Wii 3.2U. I've used a couple different ISO sources but if thats the only problem I'll try again.

Also can anyone answer me clearly on whether the region changing software can convert PAL games to NTSC? Thanks to anyone that can help.

Use Verbatim DVD-R. This game is verified to work so it is either your media or your install

I have the CIOS installed that came with the latest version of Wiigator 0.3 gamma? Is that what you're referring too?

Damn you....it worked. On Okami at least. Can't believe that's all it was. Got a ton of useless coasters and had to drop money on Verbatims for that.

Seriously thanks so much for helping me though. I really did google everywhere before asking. Gonna try De Blob now.

im having this exact same problem with de Blob...i checked that link for the custom ios file and it downloads a .dol format and a couple of useless readmes ...what do i do with this?

i had a similar issue - i installed softchip loader and all the games that didn't work now work. I do not know how. COD5, Star Wars Allied Assault and Okami. I had about 5 coasters of Okami.
