if i cancel my VM broadband package, will the feed still remain live?

If that is all you subscribe to then it is most likely that it will be cutoff when they come and take your modem, so in a word Yes. If you have a basic TV package then No.

they dont come and take your modem. i have had a contract with VM a few times and they have never asked for my modem back?
