my sons xbox wont connect to xbox live i have changed e/cables but will not connect i know the routers/and cables are working as i can connect the laptop to the cables and they are all working also he can connect with his wii console any ideas or solutions please is it an easy fix or is ait an expensive fix

im in dublin can anyone recommend some were to get it fixed if it needs a pro job done on it

check your settings.
and if no luck just call xbox live or your internet company and they will walk you through the connection process.

microsoft want it back to check it for a fee i might add its not the service prov as the wii works fine online it has to be the console its self any idea correct settings it should be it not picking up the connectioninternal fault maybe??

we are having the same problem. ran ethernet cable to router and no luck. can run xbx360 console straight to modem and its fine but then we don't have wireless for our notebooks. router is N linkseys ..brand new. notebooks work fine, xbox console hooked to modem works to get on live..so why doesn't live work with the ethernet cable to router?

any help would be appreciated

Not sure who u r asking about the router and notebook. If we hook our laptop to router..it works fine. ..just having problems with the xbox console to router.

Do you think the wireless network adapter would change any outcome?

yes and the wii as well its just the xbox 360 which will not work
i am on the lap at the moment
