Problems with Shaun White - WiiGater0.3 gamma - Homebrew

Hi, Can Anyone Help Me Please?
I am having real problems trying to get Shaun White working...
...always comes up with the error message
An error has occurred.
Press the EJECT Button, remove the
Game Disc, and turn the power off,
Please reda the Wii Operations Manual
for maore information.
I have 3 different versions - from 3 different torrents.
[WII]Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip[PAL][ESPALWII.com].rar
Shaun_White_Snowboarding_Road_Trip_PAL_WII-MOMENT-SCRUBBED
Shaun_White_Snowboarding_Road_Trip_USA_Wii-OneUp
I have tried with 4x versions of WiiGater
WiiGater0.3 Beta
WiiGater0.3 Beta fixed read errors
Wiigater0.3 Gamma
Wiigater0.3 Gamma002fix_r2
Tried burning to 3 or 4 differnt makes of disks (All DVR-)
Also tried burning (nero9) at 2x speed (this cured same problem with Mario Karts)
All other games work fine - NFS Undercover needed the 002 fix but now works OK.
Any ideas?

The compatibility list says it should work with gamma version. You sure you have gamma and not beta? The beta version gives the error you have given above. Also did you install the newest cIOS ver 7?

Hi Larrylje.
I was originally on the beta version (someone else put this & Homebrew on for me)
I since read up & found I indeed needed gamma version.
I tried to obtain this from your own "how to" thread.
this then gave me beta with read err fix.
I logged on to let you know & someone had informed you & you had updated the mirrors.
I re-down loaded these, copied to SD, & re-installed cIOS
Not sure which ver but when I've just checked meta still says beta?

Thanks for advice Larrylje
The problem was i'd used your guide to try to get Gamma.
but got beta_fix plus cIOS6
your mirrors were then updated which I got
but these still had CIOS6
your mirrors were then updated again
So now contains cIOS ver 7 
so its all Larry's fault... LOL 
No seriously thanks for your GUIDE -As always these are great 
(I've used your PSP guides previously)

Yeah sorry for any inconvenience.
I first updated the boot loader from beta to gamma when I found out I had the wrong boot loader. However I didn't check the cIOS and still had the version 6 instead of version 7. I then updated the files again to cIOS ver 7.
There seems to be only a few that have used the guide from this point so I am glad it got caught before to many used it.
In any case it is all updated and glad you got it working.

Hi,
I'm having same issue with snowboarding. I installed cios and gamma still have the same issue.
How do I find out what cios I have it ? is there any tool ? any other tips how I can run shaun white snowboarding ?

Hi HANGON
I'm not sure how to check which CIOS you have, i think maybe it is in the root directory of the SD card.
However your best bet is to start again using Larry's GUIDE
This will help you get the latest CIOS & GAMMA
If you already have the homebrew channel working, then just download the files & copy them to The APPS Folder on your SD. (you need the CIOS loader & Backup loader)
You then need to run the CIOS Loader first - make sure you have Internet set up as it connects to it.
Then run the Gamma version of the loader.
Also I had to burn this at only 2x speed....
(i've burnt many other games at higher speeds but this one would not work).
GOOD LUCK !!! Hope this helps as it is a great game - especially with the wii fit board - almost like real snowboarding - although its harder as without speed & snow holding you up its harder to balance.

thanks, one confirmation though, larrys guide says I do not need to downgrade? so in that case all I have to do is.
Step 1: Upgrade Firmware to 3.4 from Wii
Step 2: Oct 23rd ios 257 wad fix.

and enjoy playing "Snowboarding" ?

This is where everyone gets confused. the IOS downgrader is not downgrading your firmware. You need to run that before install ciosv7. Here's a perfect guide with the files you need:

I had the same issues then I followed the instruction and the file attachment given in http://www.pothsprojects.com/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=33. It worked.
My config earlier was 3.3u and based on the instructions I upgraded to 3.4 and rest of the instructions was smooth and everything was working perfectly. Only one additional thing I have done is I installed Forsaekn_Gamma_Loader.wad.
I have uploaded this file here http://www.mediafire.com/?kym4titzjno after you have followed all the instructions.
So my recommendation is follow the steps in the url (if you already have homebrew ofcourse then you do not have to do the twilight hack).

What is the forsaekn wad for?
It's wii gator gamma it's a replacement for wii gator that came in the zip. Once you install this it will replace the wii gator channel you already have. I do not know the wii gator in the zip file is gamma or not so I know for sure this is gamma version with some menu changes.

also forgot to mention when I burn with 2x speed it did not work I had to burn with "8x" and the brand I was using is tdk dvd -r
