I tried flashing my samsung Ms28 drive and i got all the way up to flashing it but it would not work tried it a few time and used several different tricks but nothing worked. Finally i tried it one last time and Succes it said flashing was complete!

I booted up my 360 and tried a working real copy of call of duty and it read it as a DVD, i clicked play and the screen went black and nothing.

I booted up again and tried a burnt copy of fallout 3 and it read it as a mixed media disc and same black screen.

Whats going on with my drive? I thought it was just that one fluke and tried flashing a Benq drive samething!

Whats up with them are they bricked? And can i fix them? or reflash them to get them working and if so how?

u can try reflashing them. its hard to tell what u did wrong, it could be anything. did u have the right hacked firmware? did u write it properly? erase properly? etc...

It depends on what firmware you flashed at that time. If you have the backup of the origional, then a good thing to do is reflash the origional firmware and see if it still works, which it should. If it does then you most likely had a very bad hacked rom...

thats part of the problem is i cant find the back ups of the firmware.

you can create a new original firmware from hacked, ethier read it from the drive or use one that is backed up

goto http://www.team-modfreakz.com/
then click xbox 360/optical drive/firmware and get the retail firmware you need

then use firmware toolbox And load your hacked firmware and copy your key

then load your new original and paste the key into it and save it
