I think its time for me to accept the fact that for some reason I cant get a backup to work. I have done everything. I've reinstalled all the programs on my wii. The wii gator will load an original game but not any of the 15 backups I've tried. I've used imgburn at 2.4x 4x verified and not. I've used verbatim, sony, maxell, & memorex discs. I still keep getting a disc error. I don't know if any one had any suggestions different than what is on the forum, if not I think I'm done trying.

I personally have not used any homebrew app to load my backups, but it looks like it is the case where something may be wrong when burning these games. Is the ISO size correct? Are these backups from different regions? Did you set the correct booktype when burning? And what backups are you trying to load?

The 2 Wii's I did with wiigator would only read Verbatim -R.(Would not read +R)
I burn at 8x with imgburn. Try that!

your dumps are incorrect. What type of lg burner are you using ? 2nd are you using rawdump 2.0 or 2.1 to dump. Last what disc are you burning these backups too? The correct size would be 4.37 for wii games and 1.35 for gamecube games.

How have you installed the backup loader aplications?

What boot loader version are you using?

What other files have you installed along with that to get it to work?

I have dumped a game and also downloaded my backups and both work fine. I am using ImgBurn x4 speed and Verbatim -R I had problems at first because I did not have wiigator installed correctly. I always choose to start my games from within the homebrew channel as well.

*Larry can help you out he is the one who got me running when I was having problems (Edit)

Larry I followed your great guide and the Oct 23 fix link in your guide. I have it all there. I dont know if it matters but it will load an original game through the backup launcher.

When did you download the files for the guide?

I had to updated the download twice. The first time was because I had beta instead of gamma and the second time I realized it was cIOS 6 ver 6 not ver 7. So if you downloaded the files a while ago then I would suggest downloading the files again and run the cIOS installer again. The cIOS ver 7 will install over ver 6 so just run the installer. Then try loading 1 of the backups.

Yeah I thought about that and I redid it yesterday still same thing. I even put in a different lite-on burner in so that imgburn would recogize it. I just don't know I'm tired of making coasters! Lol
