D2e wii attempted d2pro v3 w/wii clip 4ce

i bought the d2pro/clip bundle, no luck i only got a solid red light...
tried to clip it on a bunch of times, checked all the little legs nothing...
so i decided to solder the dam thing. it went all pretty nice except that i lifted the little "j"pad...no the drive seams dead...
i start up the wii and it boots fine till the menu but no drive activity...
is there a way to fix this??

It is possible to trace the connection back if you know someone who is experienced in electronics?

could i just "glue the pad back on the pcb and bridge the two points with a little wire?
like in the picture

NO! What you need to do is get some 30ga solid core wire insulated and solder a short piece of wire from the connector leg to the via carefully. Try to have some insulation on the wire between the two points to keep from shorting to another point. If you can't leave some insulation on the wire when your done and have proved the connection is good then epoxy or silicone the wire in place keeping it from shorting. You should be OK soldering to the connector leg but be very careful not to over heat the via (eyelet) since you may pull that point up as well.
