hi i brought my eurovox ex5000 and when i do a fast scan it doesnt pick up any channels or TP's, my starview tbs works fine on the cable line and i have my eurovox searching on 6887 (ex c&w) the same as my starview the system info on my eurovox say;

model DVB-XC EX5000 TDA
s/w ver 1.0ST4 OCT 28 2008
h/w ver 2.0t K5 +D
bootstrap v001
s/w build kuro

i have flashed my box 3 times with the december firmware with autosort, and it has downladed, written and said sucsessfull evrytime but the sytem ifo hasnt changed and i still carnet get any channels.

System info is correct and up to date.

Have you got the cable feed plugged into the RF IN and NOT the ANT.

yes, when i do a fast scan the bars at the top are useally around 75% so there is definatly signal getting there

OK do a Factory Default then Deep scan also where about's are you.

I have a problem with my ex5000 with hdd installed.
Every now and then i get a short pause for a split second or sometimes longer on all channels
Not sure of the intervals of this glitch but it is regular.
Does any one else have this prob?
I have had it from the time the box was new (6months) and it still continues even though i am now on my 5th version of firmware.
Its bearable but can be slightly off putting at times when it glitches for more than a second or so.
Any suggestions as to why or is this generic of this receiver?
