hello

i have a wii that i bought for christmas. i have 3.3u ntsc software.
i have soft-modded it. i installed the twilight hack and the homebrew
channel. i can play backups no promblem. i original instaled the beta
i follwed larrylje guide and went back and reinstall the bootloader
because it was the beta not the gamma version. that all work well

the problem is the wad manager. it will not install. wii sees it bring up install screen and gives error. using latest wad manger 1.3.
error- when it's trying to retrieve the data. It says Error = ret -1.
i check and i have no iso installed

If you have the second 3.3 update, released on oct23 2008, then you need to install IOS16 before you can install any wads.

i thought that if i could instal the twilght hack and the homebrew channel then i did have the oct 23/ update.
that's how i understood it.
if i had the update i wouldnt be able two instal that stuff right. correct me if i'am wrong

if that is the case how two i go about changing that.how do i get
IOS16 installed . i read two follow steps 1-3, but would i need two redo the rest of the hack. such as twlight hack and homebrew

No, twilight hack and homebrew channel install just fine on any wii firmware version. So you may have the oct23 update and not know it.

You dont have to redo anything though, just install IOS16 and then continue with whatever you were doing.

I cant give you a link to IOS16 though as it's copyrighted by nintendo. You'll have to find it on your own. Its not hard to find though. Google or any decent bittorrent website should be able to turn up a couple downloads.

OR you can just downgrade to 3.1 and then you wont have that problem

No, you cant. The downgrader is blocked by the oct23 update and 3.4 as well. Nice try though.

You can still downgrade if you install IOS16, but theres no point once you've unlocked it anyway.

it looks like i have two instal IOS16
so everybody thinks i have the oct 23 update
so if i follow the parts 1-3 in the beginning of the guide i be ok

you need IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad . cIOS_fix.wad .WADmanager 1.3 and Custom WM(think you need Costum WM first) and IOS37-64-v2070.wad(google is your friend)open Costum WM and install IOS16-64-v257 then restart(home)open WADmanager en install cIOS_fix.wad restart then open WADmanager again en install IOS37-64-v2070.wad.
