Hi, I am new to all this, but have been reading over the past few weeks about homebrew. I want to run custom software and emulators etc.. on my PSP. I got it for christmas so still getting used to it.

It is a new Slim 2003-CW (ceramic white) one. I think it has firmware 4.10 on it. What do I need to be able to run the things I want on it. I have been reading about the new 5.00 firmware and there is a hacked version now available.

Can someone give me an idiots guide on how to install custom firmware, which one to use and any useful information.

psp's that come with 4.01 out of the box cannot be modded at this time!
