Hi, i've been thinking about buying a PS3 as a media centre as well as a games machine, due to the Fat32 file size limitation i was thinking of sending some media files over a wireless network and wondered how fast would or could this be.

If you have a wireless network connected to your PS3 could you give me an idea, how long would a 1GB file take to send etc, i realise it depends on your equipment but some idea would be helpful, also could i connect to the PS3 over a wired network from my PC and send files that way, thanks for your help.

My guess...about 4 times as long as it does to use a flash drive....but I've never tried to transer anything of 2GB's....even on a flash card. I've copied a few songs via the wireless route...just to make sure Nero was working properly.

BTW, if you have an external HDD....use swissknife to set it up (if you don't have Vista)....
