Help me, i followed the instructions to install Wiigator thing and need to do a fix on: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=112945

on step 5 they say:
Step 5:
Using the ?Homebrew Channel?, open ?IOS Downgrader?. Just follow the instructions on the screen and wait until it finishes installing the necessary IOSs.

I opened the IOS downgrader v1.1 and the wii resets itself. What should i do?

oh yeah, forgot to mention.
I need to install the IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad but I didn´t see it on the list, so I downloaded it on the internet and install that one

Ah, nonono. Stop what you're doing.

You only need to follow step 3 from that gbatemp guide. Once you've done step 3 and installed IOS16 you can return to the wiigator guide.

I did the wiigator guide thing, I did the cIOS installer and it says install complete: install returned -1
Then i got back to the homebrew channel and not the wii channel menu.
Then i loaded the backup Launcher and it says:DVD read Err(324) no cIOS

What firmware are you on? If its the oct23 3.3 or 3.4 then once you install IOS16 the cIOS included with larrylje wiigator guide should be able to install without errors.

I just update it like 2 hours ago. I have 3.4E now
I think I know what the problem is.

The cIOS_fix cannot be installed, it show some error.
The cIOS_installer also showed some error when installing it.

You need to use a Custom Wad Installer/Manager in order to install the CIOS fix.

i followed this to get from 3.4e to 3.2e

files needed

click on wii fix and follow the video

I did the downgrade, but it says failed (ret=-1) or something.

EDIT: Ok, i'm really stuck here. Please tell me what to do.

I did the twilight hack and tried to do the wii fix. But I can't dongrade the cIOS and I can't install the cIOS. I have 3.4E now because they say I need to update to do the fix.

I rather don't want to mod it with chip. What should I do now?

(NOTE: there is no IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad in the wii fix files so I downloaded one at piratebay)

I see what i did wrong, there were to IOS36.wad thing and I installed the wrong one. Topic can be closed now
