I reccomend using Ritek Arita, they are what i use, make sure you get the branded ones, not the cheaper unbranded ones.
I get 25 for a tenner.
Google digital promos thats where i get them from.

On fleabay you will get "made in India" moser-baer rubbish..
This might sound strange, but we have had excellent results with datawrite purple 2.4x dvd+r's .. but only the purple ones.. the blue ones are crap.
Real Ritek (not arita or ridata "B" media which are hopeless.. 33 coasters out of 50) have about a 25% failure rate, and I dread to think what they do to the xbox laser.
Printables tend to be lower grade disks.. don't know why.. maybe they are made down in quality because the manufacturers know the people who buy most of them are commercial counterfeiters (car boot pirates by any other name)

whats the hang up on verbatim?? Are they for some reason better at burning 360 backups than other media?
In my experience Taiyo Yuden has been the best media (TAIYOYUDEN, YUDEN, TYG01, TYG02).
other good ones i've had success with:
Maxell (MXLRG01, MXLRG02)
Mitsubishi Chemicals (MCC)
TDK Corp (TDKG02, TTG01)
from the verbatim's i've used they had random media codes... MCC, CMC, YUDEN, RICOHJPN, RITEKG03
although none of these where for 360 games so i may be uninformed about the subject.

-Ritek Arita disks, the branded pink coloured discs are superb-the white unbranded ones are the ones that give you coasters, ive been using these for a year and half, after experimenting with many brands of discs, found these to be as good as verbs Using my pioneer 11d.
This 25% burn rate you mention is nonsense.

varnull i would not reccomend something that is how you say "hopeless".
Also if you buy the 8x verbs, burning these at 4 x you get a flawless copy in half the time it takes to burn a 2.4x disc.

i use ty discs all the time but cant find any double layer ones, I use the ferbs as I havent had a singlr fail yet, where as with a cheap batch i bought (cant remember what make) all 10 refused to play in the 360. I like the blanks cos i print them up to look like the originals, that way the kids know what they are ( I cant let them loose with the real discs as they just leave them on the bedroom floor) after all i cant be the only person with a box of discs that must have something important on but ive forgoton to write what!
