Wad Question
I have WIIFIRMWARE v3.4U
American Version
I have latest version of homebrew channel FOR WII FIRMWARE v3.4
I have the TwilightHackbeta2 on my wii. My homebrew channel is working fine I have a wad manager and some wads but when It tries to install them it always screws up when its installing the wad ticket and says there's an error.
I would like to know how to get wiiware and VC games to work on my wii and get this problem resolved as soon as possible or at least know how to get ROMs for the Homebrew channel's Emulators and how to install them on my SD card to make the ROMs work.
Thank You
You see, roms occupy an unstable legal ground. Many law officials assert that all roms and backup copies of games are illegal, while most on the other side of the debate claim that its perfectly fine to have roms of games you already own.
I fall into the second category. I feel that, if you've already bought a game once, you shouldn't ever have to buy it again. And, while I am perfectly aware that there is no way to check to make sure that you DO in fact own the games you are playing from roms, I am still comfortable in telling you how to play roms of classic games on the homebrew channel emulators. Which you can do already with your homebrew channel without having to tinker with anything. Just download the emulators from here, put them and the roms on your SD card and play to your heart's content.
I'd even go so far as to help you to install the firmware patch to allow the installation of wads on firmware 3.4, since playing VC versions of classic titles is really pretty much the same as playing them via the emulators.
But when you say that 'I just want free wiiware games' (I know its not an exact quote, I cleaned up your grammar a bit), that's where I have a problem. Installing wiiware titles via the wad installer is piracy, plain and simple. They're original games so not subject to the same sketchy ethical rules as roms.
Of course I cant stop you from finding the fix yourself. I wont help you do it but I will say that finding and installing the firmware patch is a fairly simple process.
