Can't install CIOS36-rev-64-v1042.wad When I go to install I get the (ret= -2011) error. Need to install this app so I can install my DVDx app and change the program to read the DVD's at 249 and 254.
Does anyone have any ideas? Please-- I am sssooooo close!

OK I think you prolly have 3.4 as your Firmware Right? If So there are things u need to do Follow my steps

You need to Download this Bundle That I am posting here. CLICK HERE

First add everything to your SD card from the bundle Like apps in there stuff like that. U should Understand it .

INSTALL...
IOS16-64-v257.wad ( It will install don't worry about it.)

Then Get out of Wad manager 1.3 and open Wad Manager IOS16

When in WAD Manager IOS16
INSTALL
cios_fix.wad

Then
Go and Use the Downgrader that is in the Rar file i gave you I recommend 3.2 BUT ONLY GET THE ONE YOUR WII USES like if your Wii is USA then it would be 3.2U Now it will Take a While to install so don't get scared ..

Then Once it is all done Everything should Be DANDY.

Sorry so sloppy I am just in a hurry to get home.

Thank you so mcuh for your help. Got all the file loaded as instructed in your thread. I went back and changed the DVDx to 240 - everything installed without error. BUT still gettting an error when I load discs.....RET = 04100.....

What next? Again I am sooooo close - I am on the brink of having this work ( I think). I am using a disc that worked on a modded Wii - now I am going to try discs at a bunch of diff burn speeds.

Do you have any suggestions?

I changed the Iso to 240 - error in previous thread.

The only thing that I wanted to add was that originally I had Wiigator and had many errors--so I deleted/uninstalled my HBC - was wasn't sure how to uninstall the Wiigator. I then started from scratch and re installed HBC via the Zelda method and reloaded all of the apps that I had stated before.

So now 2 things?

1. How to completely uninstall WiiGator ( if I have too)
2. Error 4100 when trying to read my burnt disc.

I would really appreciate any help. This has been a long road for me and I feel that I am really close ( I think) or ready to give up. Very frustrated -please help.

I would uninstall all cIOS and DVDx you have installed on your system.

Then go HERE and follow this guide to install WiiGator Gamma and cIOS ver7 (DVDx is not required).

The link to mediafire is down. Give me a few minutes to put up a mirror download for the files.

Just want to make sure this is the right route b/c I have already used that link that you provided when I first installed HBC and I kept gettting the DRE (324) no cios. I couldn't fix it so I unistalled the HBC and started installed WAD manager and the DVDx. I have have used one of the downgrade programs also.

Just feel I am so close but keep hitting a road block at every step.

Do you think I should uninstall all apps and start again with just the WiiGator etc?

The 324 error can be a media issue as well. Case in point there are a few in the guide that I created that received the same error message as you. After doing the same stuff you where doing they finally listened to me and tried different media. This fixed there issue. So unistall everything and reinstall using the guide I provided then try different media.

thanks -
Finally got Wii Sports to work..... love it. This is what I have been waiting for. Thank you....Thank you...Thank you...

Just need to get the burn thing down. I have tons of diff dvd's.....the one that worked was Sony but I have HP and Verbatim.

Can I look forward to more games running in the Gamma? I hope so. What I mean is....IF they are all burned the same way - should be fine right? Even the newer games?

Thanks again

Gamma has the best compatibility of any boot loader out so far.

I'm surprised the Verbs don't work for you.

All you should have to do is use ImgBurn and burn at half the rated speed of the media. Thats just a base that most recommend.

All you can really do is find media and burn speed that works for your Wii and stick with it.

I am fairly new to this although I hav learned tons about this in the last few months thrrough trial and error. What do I have to do to Update Patch or disc patch. I kind of know what you mean but not sure how to do it.

You shouldn't have to region patch it if your using the boot loader (You might have to FORCE NTSC on some PAL backups). You can disable the update on a game disc with WiiBrickBlocker.

You should do what the second posts says.

Edit: Actually the link to the files is dead.
I am about to upload some files to Megaupload.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6N7G4WWS

Use WadManager to install IOS16
The Custom WM in the files that I uploaded is what you will use where it says "Then Get out of Wad manager 1.3 and open Wad Manager IOS16"
Instead of cios_fix.wad install 07-cIOS249-v7_waninkokoFULL-nw7.wad
You can then use IOS Downgrader.

Or you could just follow the 1st link in the thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/773505

Did you use Custom WM to install 07-cIOS249-v7_waninkokoFULL-nw7.wad?

And there is no IOS Downgrader 1.2, only 1.0

What system menu version do you have?
This is starting to sound like one of those evil LU64 Wiis.

What is your Wii's serial number?
