That makes things a lot more complicated.
There are two things you can try but I can't vouch for either of them. All I can go by is what I've read.

There is the LU64 fix http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=152406&st=0
Which is supposed to be a customIOS (11)
From what I've read it's easier than the second method but you don't have the freedom to install which ever cIOS that you want.

The second one is a method using cboot2 by WiiGator.
It's much more involved but there have been reports of it working for people. You can read about it here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158068&st=0
And you can get cboot2 from here http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=5948

Or you can just wait. It's likely that the process will become easier eventually.

But yeah, I would read those links. I'm in the process of learning more about them myself.

:) This always happens to me. I start posting but I'm so slow that someone has already said something before I finish.

Anyway read all that you can.

It's likely better to start with LU64 fix. That should get you somewhere.

maybe i should try to install bootmii and retore the NAND from a backup from someone that has LU64 may be it should work! (i hope if it does not work then the only thing i can do is install the mod chip)

i got it for almost 3 weeks

ohh and does the hombrew chanel and the installable software for homebrew kill the warranty??

Yeah I wouldn't try to use someone else's nand.

So you tried the LU64 fix?

Did you read the readme that comes with it?

You tried to install LU64.wad with the custom manager? not the original wad manager?

Updating to 4.0 will not erase 249.

It was designed for 3.4 but I've heard that it has worked for someone on 4.0 but I would still definitely try on 3.4. Lets not complicate things further.

I thought I unsubscribed to this thread.

-2011 means that you are trying to install stuff using an IOS that has been patched by Nintendo so it doesn't have trucha.

Trucha has been patched in almost every IOS since the October 23rd 2nd version of 3.3
4.0 adds the bootleg IOS16 to the bunch.

Just follow the guide that is the first thread in this Wii section of the forum.
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/773505
Also note what it says about LU64 and LU65 Wii.

Edit: Also sometimes -2011 comes from if the region of the wad is different.

I am curious as to why you are trying to use a hbc.wad to install the homebrew channel if the method you would use (this homebrew hack that you are talking about, which I am hoping is Bannerbomb) to try and install hbc.wad could just be used to run the hackmii installer.

Edit: Oh I see why you are trying to install hbc.wad
I guess you just didn't do the steps in the guide before that.

I had all the same issues with this. I had ver 3.3E on my Wii. Once I upgraded to 4.0 and used the guide for 4.0, I got it all working!

OK! I finally decided to download homebrew to my system via the twilight hack. I am running version a ntsu 3.4, I have a wiikey installed on my wii. I basically installed homebrew channel to assist me in my semi-brick. My fool of a brother updated a damm pal game on my system. I have duplicate channels and I cannot access my wii settings. I have tried to downgrade my system via the information in this thread but I still have that 2011 error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I honestly just want to unbrick my semibricked wii. I play games just fine and maybe when it's all said and done I could get some assist on what the homebrew channel can really do. Thanks!

Reading is fundamental kids. I fixed my problem, not to get rid of these annoying duplicate channels.

Nope I have a launch wii LU50something. I have a wiikey also installed and I got rid of my duplicate channels, upgraded to 4.0u and able to now download wads and put them on my sd card and play vc and wiiware directly from the card. I spent my entire day doing all that but was rewarded when it all worked.

My only other problem now is I can't get rid of my photo channel, news and weather so I just pushed them all the way to the end.
