I've recently been getting this error message:
---------------------------
Xbox Backup Creator
---------------------------
Action: WriteSectors
Sense Error: 5 / 21 / 02
INVALID ADDRESS FOR WRITE
CDB: WRITE(10)
0x2A 00 00 16 1F 70 00 00 10 00
I have had no trouble in the past and suddenly it doesn't seem to be working anymore.
I'm using the same media as I always do and I usually burn through XBC and imgburn, but since this problem occured I have tried burning through imgburn on its own and also XBC but to no success.
does this error happen right at the beginning of burn? Invalid address for write makes me think its an issue w/your drive. You could try to see if there was a firmware update, but the fact that it all of the sudden stopped working makes it sound like that may not fix it. Try burning like a music cd or something, and if that doesn't work then you know for sure its the drive.
Also have you changed anything recently? like maybe it could be partially unplugged
Hi
Thanks for the quick reply..
I've tried a few burns and two got to around 35% and another failed at the beginning..I've not had the drive long and i did do a firmware update to 1.09 which is the latest, its a Pioneer DVR-116D by the way.
Yeah it burns everything else fine, i burned some data to a standard dvd+rw and there was no problems.
I haven't changed anything recently, but I do know that there was a power cut whilst the computer was on but it wasn't during a burn,Could this cause problems with the drive? i imagine it doesn't help.
I'll check to see if its partially unplugged though..I just thought it might be just a few bad discs out of the spindle because there not verbatims.
