Help with search starview 4

hey newbie here
im tryin to set up a starview 4 the box super usb in the malihide area and when i do an automatic search it wont pick up the channels so brought it back to my house dub 15 area and worked is the a differance in these areas or do i need to do a manual search ? any help would be great

Should be the ssame really... perhaps there is a signal problem out in Malahide or maybe the connections were not inserted fully!!

thanks for the reply
na i made sure the cabels were ok i pluged it straight into the tv to check the signal also tried a different cabel, if i have the channels tunned in from d15 would it work if i just brought it over to malihide ...... could there be a prob with signal strenght it seems ok on the tv the usual dodgy channel 4 but its the same in my house in d15

As I said the Cable Company could have been working out there, can you try it without splitters IE in the main room of the gaff, thats were the strongest signal usually is!

yep thats where it was, just doesnt really make sence like ive set up a good few boxs for friends and there was never a problem doin a auto search augh

If its up and running in D15 theres is no reason why it wont work in Malahide unless of course theyve been diconected for non payment ( not out there theyre loaded LOL) so just plug and go!!

I have a dog to walk but believe me when I say Malahide or at least most parts of it has an SR of 6875.

If you scanned on N** you need to do a factory reset to clear the TPs and scan again on Ch**us. Which firmware revision are you using is it 1.07.

Gotta hurry the dog is starting to bite my leg :)

lol i am using 1.05 cause didnt hear great stuff bout 1.07 but i scanned before i installed the firmware... i'll try that do the factory reset and all ..... thanks so much guys i'll let you know how i get on

I`m only here for a min meself. As sc0user said, you`ll have to scan on ch***s & not n*l & do a factory reset.
Menu > factory setting
pin - 0000
ok to Delete
TURN THE B0X OFF AT THE BACK FOR A MIN THEN TURN BACK ON
English > installation
Choose provider (ch**us)
auto scan > ok
channels found
Exit
Menu > 1570
Turn keycode on
Exit Exit Exit.
