why...if its anything like the compusa liquidation sale, youre better off buying online...liquidators usually offer up bs discounts that the average consumer doesnt ever realize isnt really that good of a deal.

No way am I Average. Now that CC is shutting down, U can go buy nick nacks real cheap (controllers, memory etc) I might even by My grandparents thier first LCD!
this is good news to me, sad for others. I personally loved CC more then Best buy cause they were always CHEAPER, and I never had an issue returning or exchanging. IM pretty sure consoles will drop as well. The website is down for maintance stating updating product special offers, so we should get a glimpse real soon.

All the Circuit Cities near me already closed down last year and I'm in a major city. I knew they wouldn't last much longer.

my thoughts on going out of business sales are that you have to be at the right spot at the right time.
usually this process will last for weeks so they slowly discount items and pull a little tirckery. there are deals to be found... but for the most part it seems like you'll only save 20 bucks here and there.
*i will be keeping my eye out though for the canon 880is though.

I'm the process of trying to find some 32inch 720p LCD's for my two kid rooms and hopefully they'll have something worth a damn when I get my W2's and income tax refund in 2 weeks. Maybe I'll finally pick up some Microsoft Wireless USB Adapters now.

we got a vizio 36 inch in the lake house, and for a cheap tv (450) i think, it works extremely well. looks darn good with the 360 in either vga and hdmi, same with the satellite via component cables.

Ya it's sad that this economic crisis is bringing down Circuit City - closing over 500 stores and 30,000 people will be losing jobs...
Their services in Canada will continue though... yay for me!

Went to my nearest Circuit City this morning and it had most accessories and stuff (i.e. 360 hard drives, controllers, etc.) for only 10% off. Nothing was discounted enough for me to pull the trigger on buying anything. It will probably take several weeks for anything to get down to true liquidated prices.
