hi ya, im new here and a bit stuck. ive recently got a psp fat, and ive downgraded it to 1.50 from 3.50.
but im not sure where to go from here.
i want to play gba games , snes games and ps1 games on it. i looked at the fireware 3.02 oe-b, as i can rip own ps1 games - but will i be able to play gba and snes rom on it?
if so, how??
please could you help me, as i do not know much :)

just got a couple of question though:
it say it has to have custom firmware with 3.XX kernal, what does kernal mean? so would it would on 3.02 oe-b? if it want please suggest a custom firmware i should use. thanks

Watch this video. It will show you how to upgrade from 1.50 to 3.52M33. Then from there, you can download 3.52M33-4 from Here. Copy over the PSP folder from that download over into your memory stick and run it. At this point, you should be on 3.52M33-4, (assuming everthing went correctly).
Then follow these steps:
* Extract the 5.00 M33 installer files to your computer.
* Copy the Update folder to X:/PSP/GAME/ on your PSP?s memory stick.
* Download the official 500.PBP. If the file you?ve extracted is named EBOOT.PBP change it to 500.PBP before proceeding.
* Copy the 500.PBP to the directory; X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE on your PSP?s memory stick.
* Run 5.00 UPDATE from under Game on your PSP?s XMB
* Press X if asked to correct idstorage keys
* Continue to install the official 5.00 SONY when prompted
* After all process is complete, press X. Your PSP will reboot.
* Congratulations, you?ve just installed 5.00 M33
Also, Here you will find the 5.00M33-4 update. Or you can simply get this update by going to system update, m33 updater (whatever it is in the top left corner of the XMB.) Hope this little guide helps you.

P.S. Emulators will work with this firmware (I tried them myself. lol)

the reason i keep mentioning version 3.02 oe-b is because it seems very easy to install and use. i do not understand the more complicating versions. i want to make sure that the roms (gba and snes) would work on 3.02 oe-b?
And then maybe later on, wen i know more about the psp, i will upgrade to sometin else later.

Your GBA and Snes Roms will still work with 5.00M33 and you will still be able to rip and play PS1 games on 5.00M33. Just use the popsloader for that firmware. Basically, whatever any of the other firmwares can do, this one will do all of it and more. =)
Of course, I understand why you would want a simpler firmware like 3.02 oe-b. But (for me) it is too outdated.. I like to have the newest possible firmware on my PSP.
