My newer xbox's drive kicked out a couple weeks ago and I have a drive from another 360 with three rings of death and a voided warranty, also with a 78. I flashed this drive and dumped the firmware onto my desktop so that's not a problem. However, the newer xbox's drive wont spin a disc which Firmware Toolbox requires in order to dump firmware. Is there any way I may obtain the DVD key off of this drive without it spinning a disk so I may spoof the other drive?

Which drive is broken? Only Hitachi's need to be "spun up"
