i got a box that me father thinks no longer works,when i connect the box up all the channels are listed,but when i hit on any on station it just shows up as scrambled???before hand i was using ChOurs HERE IN DUBLIN.

It was before christmas,he bought a new box today,so i thought it was just as simple as adding some new digits and hey presto??
and cheers for quick reply,and please excuse me not knowing,as even the last computer i has was a spectrum 48k.....lol

Ok, they only come with free to air software on them, so he will probably have to flash his new box as well. What is the new box?
You will have to flash the replay lite with the 28122008.
Have you got a null modem cable?

the new box he got today is just called"the box" i think???i know he got this replay box flashed before when the stations went off it,it then worked perfect,so when they all went blank just before christmas again he just left it there(he had no access to new codes)...hence all the station names come up on screen,but no joy,all scrambled,so will i go to that link above,and do as it says???

have you got a null modem cable? You need a null modem cable to flash the box.
You will probably need to flash the starview as well, sounds like a starview 2 the box, but you will need to check. All the firmware is in eamo's library, and it is quite easy to do, if your pc has xp on it.

evastar thanks a mill for your help,i dont have a cable,but ill get one first thing tomorrow,ill then follow your instructions that your sending through PM.cheers for the help,as i said ill go through everything in the morning and be right back to ya,cheers..

You will get the cable in maplins, its part number L71BT. Make sure you get a proper null modem not an rs232. Chorus are symbol rate 6875 and provider id 5E.

ok ive ordered that lead from me nearest retailer..will have it tomorrow or tue the latest...but in the mean time when i do all the right stuff all the channels come in on it,well all the channel names come up on it,but it says scrambled????
