Does anyone know if the chipset ICH10 is compatible with flashing xbox 360 dvd drives?

well, i just tried my computer that has a Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R SATA RAID Controller

xtractor show the xbox 360 drive but when i boot into dos... and use dosflash.. dosflash isnt seeing it... ugh... its a pain in the ass to open that box...

just go buy via 6421 card, very cheap and you don't have to worry about that shit.

im sure he knew that, but the point was to avoid making a purchase that is not necessary and plus having to wait for them to ship it.

pretty much the only drive that is compatible with chipset is hitachi. every guide on here is tested with the via chipset, so if you want worry free flashing, then go buy the proper equipment. i know you may not want to spend $ or wait, but they are extremely cheap, and you can get one a microcenter. you have to be willing to give a little to get something in return.
