Okay first of all, my xbox has broken.
It broke a few weeks ago, it got 1 flashing red light with an error code. I sent it in on January 6th and i still haven't gotten it back (it's been in the "repair in progress" stage for several days now). Now I have another problem, I went to my friend house to play some games on his Xbox 360, and I brought my hard disk drive over, so we could play some of my games. After playing for several hours with his hdd, I swap it with mine. This gave him the 3 rings of death. !!!!
So now his xbox 360 is broken, and now I fear that when I get my xbox back, I'll have to start EVERYTHING over again.
Is there away i can fix my hard drive, or get Microsoft to replace mine?
My gaming will have been almost ruined, some of my games I have poured hours into....

I have never heard of swapping hard drives giving 3RROD. What you need to do is get the secondary error code when the person's console RRODs. That will give you an answer as how you need to go about fixing the internal problem with the xbox 360.

When the console RRODs, hold the sync button and then press the eject button. That will give you your first code. Then do that a total of 4 times. Holding sync button and then press eject button, let go between each press of the eject button. Then google 360 secondary error codes.
