Welcome to our new forum room that's meant for PVR devices. PVR devices are stand-alone boxes that are basically "digital videos" -- boxes equipped with HDD and MPEG-2 en/decoding chip -- that store analog and digital video to digital MPEG-2 format on the device's HDD, just like good olde VCRs do for tapes.

Best known PVR devices are TiVo (available at least in States and in the UK), ReplayTV (U.S.) and Sky+ (UK and Ireland), but virtually all the "better" digital TV set-top boxes sold in Europe have PVR capabilities as well.

This forum is meant strictly for discussing about these "stand-alone" devices, not PCs equipped with capture card and scheduler software.
