Hi everyone, I've recently taken an Xbox 360 from my friends friend as he wanted it flashing. I was using the dosflash (16bit) method on a 4core-1600-GLAN and erased the drive successfully. I then tried to write to the drive, i put in the file name for it to write to and pressed enter. Then the floppy failed out.
Now the drive isn't recognised by dosflash and doesn't spin or eject when plugged in to the pc. Is this drive bricked or can i save it? It just sucks a bit how it isn't my 360.
Is there any chance of me resurrecting this drive?
Any help would be VERY MUCH Appreciated!
Let me know if i can give any more detail.

Wow your a helpful little boy aren't you. I knew what I was doing it was the floppy that failed not something I did, and i did actually get the original firmware and the key so layoff okay. Considering i'd erased the drive it's pretty obvious that i'd dumped the firmware. So before you flame me, maybe you should gain some knowledge yourself.
Any other people want to HELP me instead of using wise comments?
Thanks in advance everyone.

It's a Benq VAD6038, Says in the title :P haha.
I've been reading up and it says it is compatible with the bad flash method 100% but doesn't show anywhere a detailed guide about the bad flash method.
Never mind! i've cracked it thank god! I used the CK3 Kit to connect it to the i/o port and it recognised it in there. Then just wrote the firmware to the drive with dosflash 32. That's a whole load of my mind. Thanks anyway everyone!

Ummm... it was actually MattB9876 who started this topic and had problems with the drive.. not lilmentor .... LOL. Anyways BenQ has the bad flash feature so you just need to reflash. Your floppy failed so I would just use a bootable usb drive. iPrep can make a bootable jump drive for you. Just delete all files off of it and put dosflash and your ix firmware that has your key on it to the jump drive. And you should be able to resolve your "bricked mate"
Edit- Looks like he resolved his "bricked" drive

i'm having a similar problem, just wondering if i have to do that serial method too. was your drive still recognized by windows and just not ejecting and spinning up?
mines not even being recognized in windows. i have a samsung 28 which is fine in windows this drive the benq was recognized in windows until the bad flash.
now its not recognized in windows no eject or spinning up. just wondering if the ck3 lite via serial would fix my problem too. i ordered a extractor with a serial would that work?
i mean the all in one kit to get liteon keys. sorry for the thread hi jack and broken english.

Which kit did you buy? Now there is lite, Pro, and the probe.

the lite and pro are the same except the pro has usb support. the probe is a different device and you will need both devices, a probe and a connectivity kit. Probe can be made yourself if you are comfortable with doing so.
