I have tried everything I know possible and I hope you guys can tell me what im doing wrong. I have tried burnign with Dynex disks, Memorex (always god I/O error burning so they never worked) and I have also tried Verbatim from singapore.

the Dynex and Verbatim disks will show Play game on the 360 but the disk read error will pop up right after the screen goes black.

I have a burned game that came with my xbox (the firmware on the drive is 1.5) and its a verbatim disk that works perfectly fine. I talked to the guy and I have done it exactly how he does.

my disks also sound like it is destroying my 360 drive where his sounds fine.

Im using my dell M1330 laptop to burn the game with a HL-DT-ST GSA-S10N burner. I have tried both the A101 and A103 firmwares with clone cd, ImgBurn, and Dvd-Dycrypter with the right layer break settings. I have also verified my iso files on level 3 with abgx360.

Is there maybe a cracked firmware out there for my laptop drive to get this working? Anyhelp at all will be greatly appreciated. I have gone through close to $100 in coster disks

I also set the booktype to DVD-Rom even though it is set as default

More likely your DVD drive has a weak laser. I have noticed that Hitachi and Samsung DVD drives refuse to read discs after flashing. I have also flashed several Benq's but none of them have presented an issue and run smoothly. I am not saying that Benq's will never present a weak laser issue.
Anyway, to solve the problem you might want to try to adjust the laser intensity (A.K.A. DVD laser calibration or DVD pot adjustment). I think there are tutorials on how to do this at www.360mods.net or www.llamma.com Otherwise just google search "DVD pot adjustment" or the likes and see what gives. YOu'll have to take your DVD drive apart, and carefully remove the laser len so you can have easy access to the DVD pot. You'll need a multimeter and a tiny small flat screwdriver.

Try burning it with Xbox Backup Creator using the XBC engine. Set the speed to 1x just to make sure it is writing absolutely at 100% capacity. If that doesn't work, buy another 360 drive from Ebay.

i dont think its my 360 drive. I reads everything else perfectly fine. even other burned games. Just not mine.

I had the same problem,burning at 4x-6x worked for me.I coastered 7 discs burnt at 2.4x.
