PIONEER DVR-116D VS PIONEER DVR-111D

My PIONEER DVR-111D finally stopped working after two years
of hard work.So I went out and bought a brand new PIONEER DVR-116D.
My question is I remember having to do a Firmware Update on the
DVR-111D to be able to burn the .dvd game file.Do I have to do
a Firmware update on this new PIONEER DVR-116D in order to burn
the .dvd game file?Or because this is a newer drive will it do
the job without any updates?Help

if its a new drive i don't see why you would have to firmware upgrade it ... i've never done that to any of my DVD burners and they burn just fine

came out okay Thank you
