Just a quick question can anyone tell me how to get Set*nta 2 Sprts back on the box as it keeps coming up no signal tried a full re scan all stations except setan 2 - is there a way of manual scaning for it starview 2 the box

Yes there is, Go to the Channel that is affected Setanta 2 (press the SL button to determine the frequency it is on) and from there press - Menu and OK on Installation, go down to Manual Scan OK and the Frequency will appear in Down Frequency, just press OK and it will scan on that one frequency. When finished it will show you what was found, wait for saving and then exit out to TV, the channels found should appear at the end of you TV listings, just re-order in Channel Edit and if neccessary delete the non working one/s/

Thanks for that will try that one question do i leave the Emu on or off as I think I tried this last night but emu was on and no stations found mcfc999

hi all, can anyone tell me the frequency for the new discovery channel, i done a automatic scan but it never came up. ta

It worked when I did what you said above but then when I went back to the channel it was gone with a message no signal any other suggestions Cheers MCFC999

Did you re-order them in Channel Edit, Alphabetical? - because you will have two channels, one working and the one you originally went from will still be there but not working, and also have a look under the non-descipt TV numbered. If you have done this and no joy (it should be there) then it would be a good idea to state your location, and then someone from your area will possibly be obliging enough to give you the exact correct frequency for S*****a in your area.

OK Malci followed your instructions to the letter but still no setananta 2 sprts, now idiot here decided to do a factory reset, new auto scan 183 channels turn emu on etc but no channels tries to update did get it to go 30% then flashed back to 0% have tried numerous channels but same thing 0%,can get a couple Free 2 air, starview 2 the box updated dec 08 Nthell dub area would welcome any suggestions you have as bsittin tonight and need some good tv mcfc999

Make sure you take any splitters off the line and try updating on s*y 2. If that doesn't work go into secret menu, press menu 1570, default ok, emu off, exit, turn box off at back for a minute, turn back on, emu back on then exit to S*y 2 or the god channel and let it update. Might take a while, once you get any % going up at all go and have a cuppa and leave it to it!

mcfc999 - You need to follow evastar's instructions, as regards the updating issue, it is a pretty common problem in Ireland the slow UA, you need a channel with a strong signal, don't know why. But what Firmware have you on The Box is it the 4.57, if not would advise that you put that on.

Cheers will follow those instructions later new firmware is installed so its now a case of finding the right channel strong enough to kick start the box, I should never have done the reset in the first place anyway you learn by your mistakes MCFC999

Lads thanks a million bacon saved by the way sky2 or god does not work goes to 150% and vanishes I got it back on discovery it was a long hard slog trying to fid a good channel but all back now including my missing channel seta 2 sprts thanks again mcfc999

forgot to ask is there anywhere I can find a tutorial on how to sort channels in the different areas seems to be different on my box since upgrade or maybe I am doing something wrong star 2 the box mcfc999
