I backed up the original firmware, then I tried to flash the ixtreme firmware to my ms25 drive and now when I play games it reads them as DVD's both original and backup games. What am I gonna do now? btw I used xtreme boot maker 3.6 to do this.

btw I currently have no orig.bin file, I was stupid enough to accidentally format it on my USB. I have a ms25 so how will I get the key from a hacked firmware currently flashed to my drive which doesn't even play original games or backup games. Am I officially done for? Someone help me please, as its not even my Xbox 360.
one thing you can try is, reading the current firmware on the drive right now and see what you come with. if the drive key is comepletely gone, then you might want to look into using the infectus2 chip, that way you can retrieve the drive key from your eeprom, but i am not sure if that is even possible, depending on your kernel, probably gonna cost some money. good luck, if there is anything else we can do, let us know.
just open the firmware in toolbox 4.8, see what the drive keys says, if it is all FFFFFFFF or 000000000 or something along those lines, it is most definately the wrong key but if it looks like numbers and letters then it seems more legit. check this out to, found it on xbox-scene

there are a couple of free programs out on the net that will allow you to recover those files that were deleted from your usb card. search for one, download it, use it, and you should get your original key back. once you do this SAVE IT TO YOUR DAMN COMPUTER AND EMAIL IT TO YOURSELF LIKE ALL THE TUTORIALS SAY.
