OK ... I thought I had this down but I messed up somewhere and I'm pretty sure I know where. I followed the following tuturial down to the T.

http://team-xecuter.com/ck3/liteon_swap.htm

I got to the end and everything seemed fine except I didn't know where the file FW Toolbox created got saved. I ran a search and I couldn't find it so I looked at the ix15-sam.bin that I spoofed and it had just been changed so I thought that was my good file. My first question, is this the correct file? ... I dont think it is.

I then prepared my USB drive with Iprep and like the tutuorial said I switched the SAM-CFW.bin with the ix15-sam.bin I told you about earlier, after I renamed it that is. I tried flashing my drive with this setup, using a VIA SATA card and everything and it said SAMCFW.bin doesnt match my serial number or something ... Can someone help? What file do I need after I do the FW Toolbox stuff?

So basically as I understand it, you have a samsung drive in place of a lite-on drive? You will need 3 pieces of info from your lite-on drive, Key, Inquiry, and Identify. Use jungle flasher to spoof that info to the ix 1.5 sammy fw. I would just go ahead and use mtkflash in jungle flasher to flash that fw. ix 1.5 will cater for the hidden lite-on commands.

Yeah well the reason I'm replacing the lite-on with a sammy at this point was because I fried my CK3 Pro and my Lite On drive. Can I still use jungle flasher without a ck3?

I was able to dump all the files and I was going to flash with DosFlash but thats when I fried everything.

So I'm trying to spoof this sammy. I dumped the files from the lite on twice and both keys match, so I think I did that right. I followed the guide and I'm pretty sure I correctly spoofed the ix15 bin file. The problem is when I try to flash using fSam.

If I could use jungle flasher at this point it would be cool but I have no CK3 anymore so I need a solutions ya'll can come with are much appreciated. Thanks!

Oh and I'm using the newest version of Iprep if that has anything to do with it...

how did you fry the ck3 and the lite-on. as for spoofing, the only thing i ever do, is run i prep on the sam drive do everything besides run fsam, so now you should have sam-ofw.bin, and sam-cfw.bin, go into windows, open firmware toolbox, open up the lite-on .bin file, copy the key from, and paste the key into sam-cfw.bin, now goto tools, spoof firmware, and select the CUSTOM(requires inquiry.bin, and press apply spoof, now save it. so now that sam-cfw.bin file with lite-on key should be on your iprep boot. load iprep, type fsam (use the same serial number that used to read from that drive, if unsure, when you load into windows, goto iprep drive and goto folder backups, there will be 2 folders, one will be the 7 digit, and inside that folder there will be a 5 digit folder, those are the serials you will use, then when you get to the point to name the firmware, you MUST type sam-cfw.bin, if you do not type this exact name, it will not run. so that file name is a must. you need anymore, i am here man, just let me know.

Ok ... so let me get this straight so I know what I have to do, so I set up a new Iprep USB drive with generic ix1.5 bin and use that to dump the firmware from the new sammy drive and spoof those files with the lite-on files (key.bin, inquiry.bin etc.). Rename the spoofed file and put it in the CFW folder and flash a sammy like normal?

What serial do I use to dump initially from the sammy? drive since this is a fresh sammy drive that I ordered. Does this have a serial attached to it?

Thanks for the help man

let's keep this very simple cause its really not that complicated.

run jungleflasher... for source you load from dumpfiles the key.bin, inquiry.bin, and identify.bin that you have already from your liteon drive.

for target you load the file that came with iXtreme 1.5 called "ix15-sam.bin"

then you click the button "Spoof Source To Target" ... then you click "Save to File" and you save it to a file...

that's it ... whatever you saved the filename as is your spoofed firmware... now you go about flashing that to the samsung drive...

OK so that that spoofed file is what I would load in Iprep or would I load ix15.bin in Iprep and then replace the CFW with my spoofed firmware????

So I have no Idea what I'm doing wrong I spoofed the firmware files in both jungle flasher and firmware tool box and this still isn't working for me.

I try and run fSam 1234567 12345 and it says ... SAMCFW.bin doesn't match 360: 1234567 12345

I replaced the file on my CFW folder on my USB drive, (created with Iprep V008.8)

Could this be because I'm using ix1.5 ... do i need to use ix1.4???

OK so I'm trying to use this guide:

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=664983&st=15

I dumped the files from my fresh sammy and have an orig.bin file ...
in this guide it says

"copy and paste orig.bin into extreme firmware 1.4--- pick your speed click make extreme firmware you will have a file called ix14.bin"

How do I make extreme firmware from by orig.bin file?
