So I scratched the heck out of that pcb line, but the battery is not putting the system in that "menu" to work with the MMS.

Do I need the MMS to even check if this battery boots correctly? I'm not sure where the problem is... the MMS or the Pandora. How do I check?

Also, I'm sure I cut the right line, and I'm sure my psp is mod-able (OFM 3.9)

please help

So I cut the leg as well, assuring that it'll work. And the battery still boots up normally. What kinda wackiness is this?

OK, let me try to help.

1. Is the battery charged above 75%? If not I don't think it will work.

2. Are you sure the battery is the kind that can be pandorized?

3.Do you have the Magic memory stick installed? If so, try taking the magic memory stick out and putting battery in first.

4. Is the ac/adapter also connected? If so, remove it.

That's all I can think of now. If you tried all of these and still nothing, then reply. It might take me a day or two to respond but I'll respond.

Also, if the battery lcd lights up green when you put Pandora battery in it then it works. If your PSP doesn't light up immediately when you put the Pandora in then it's something wrong with the battery.

How do I know if my battery is capable of being a pandora?

It's an official sony 1200mAh, but it's not the one that came with the system. I had to buy this one (new) when I accidentally broke the first original battery.

I fully charged the battery before using it, but I guess I'll try it again. But the pandora should work even without the MMC, right? I mean, just to see if it's working.

thanks for the responses!

Unplug the AC charger
Insert Pandora
Is the green light flashing without turning on your PSP?

This happens to me too. I've read on another psp forum that there are newer, possibly as much as a year old, Sony brand batteries that cannot be pandorized with the trace 19 method. Your best bet is probably the recent thread on here with a link to a site which sells a tool battery and magic memory stick combo for $25

Is there any thread where I can find someone and maybe borrow their tool battery? I live in a very populated area, San Fernando Valley CA. Maybe that's too weird, but I'm really getting sick of this hacking mess.
