Just installed and scanned. I'm getting channels with good Quality & Signal readings (85%+) but . . .
a) only 30 channels (& only some of these are displaying names)
b) getting message "no or bad signal" (& occasional broken images)
Normal TV is fine.
Could my N*L still be too weak despite 85%?
Any other possible problems?

thanks

Your signal maybe a little too high, try a variable attenuator

You can get them here > http://beststuff.co.uk/coaxial_accessories.htm

Thanks for your suggestion HiTeck,

I've just tried the variable Attenuator (on the "wall" side of EX1000SL)- alas no effect - still getting "no bad signal".

Another thought - might my N*L input have to be digital? I have no reason to suppose it is - as far as I know its just analogue.

Cheers

we've been having some bad weather as of late..check outside to see if the cover on the grey/brown box is intact and no water penetration has occurred..also,unscrew connection on inside wall and rescrew back in....the eurovox 1000 has a built in signal booster,so oneof the best boxes for picking up frequencies on the market...if your getting bbc1 etc, then signal problem shouldnt be an issue, especially if your getting 85%!hopeb this helps

Have you tried a deep scan? when you say signal strength is 85%+ what do you mean, is it fluctuating on each channel or is it steady, a signal over 85% can cause problems for the eurovox just the same as too lower signal.

Edit scandalou, Max V/ex1000 sl/ex51000 all have/had signal boosters in the menu, too higher signal causes problems so the signal booster wouldn't come into play here especially at 85%.

Many thanks HiTeck & Scandalou,
I'll revisit the scene tomorrow and clarify the symptoms
I'll also try the box in a neighbour's house

Cheers
