Sorry for starting all this with a simple question to a scaremonger in the uk,mgb17 you have been around this forum long enough to now now that sc0ucer is not a dealer in boxes,its blatanly obvious to all in sundy why he feels the need to say we should not discuss this topic on an open forum even to the less educated like me,as for the ceo of upc 
Also a simply question to you as a moneymaker. Who has any benefit except box dealers if a discussion about a srambling system exchange is beeing hold on low level in this forum?

That's the point mgb17 it's NOT "being held on low level in this forum" it's talked about all the time which is why we get sick and tired of seeing/answering the same threads, it's laughable for you to suggest it is silenced and Sc0user isn't the only one that suggests that we don't talk about it on the forum I do as well so does that mean I'm a trader?

Firstly i'll try and make some sense of that comment(don't no what srambling mean's,and i take it you mean being and not the apiary version)secondly yes i am a money maker seeing as i was up and about at 5am this morning for work,thirdly sorry to dissapoint you but i am not a box dealer, and if i was it would be none of your business sir,and at the moment i could not care a less about nagra 3 or what the ceo of upc say's as i have a lot more important thing'ss going on in my life other than tv.

No probs Noel, suppose the start was the launch of the 50meg broadband to carry the info. Not to worry they would need one hell of a lot of servers! costing a lot of dosh, so I would not bank on it happening soon. I must say though they have been busy for the last two weeks day & night messing with the signal. And you can hack an IP or clone a active address.

Just to throw in my ?0.02 worth. If it was to be based purely on IP address, as you quite rightly say, they can be spoofed. If they try to tie it to MAC address as well, that too can be spoofed. The logical conclusion someone would say is that whoever the IP/MAC address belongs to would get the blame for letting it out. However, there are ways and means known to anyone with half a brain, to obtain that info without asking your neighbour for the info off his box.
To jump on to the other part of this band wagon, it is laughable for anyone ( mgb ) to suggest that scouser is a seller of boxes, especially as you have been around this forum long enough to know better.
Anyway, as various people have said already, the scaremongering is just a waste of time. If and when, and it will be when, the change comes, we'll know soon enough.
As for the picture Des, I think you're on to something there.

We have had these type of threads over and over for the last few years and they are usually from people who don't know what they are talking about.

Unless of course he is fixing the hardware for free, as surely he would not charge for doing something that, according to him, will be useless in two months time.
