Hi! Last year, almost a whole year from today, I downgraded my PSP, then added CFW on it using the DOS style MMS creator, and used a TOOL battery.
Since then, I keep people talking about how can they turn their MMS back to a normal MS... I haven't done that, but my MS is working ok, so's my PSP. I just left the files on it, and have recently downgraded and put CFW on my brother's PSP too with it.
Is this doing anything to my PSP?
I used a 1GB MS, (and have put all MMS and CFW files onto my new 4GB MS as well, but can't downgrade with it.)
My PSP is now v5.00 M33-5 i believe, PSP type 1000.

I will be grateful for a reply,
Adam470

Magic Memory Stick means that the memory stick has only MMS files in it. So you can get the MS back to normal by just formatting it.

Ok, but MY MS has MMS AND NORMAL files on it... You aren't quite answering my question..
Is it OK to have not formatted MMS, as I have seen people saying it's a big deal to convert back to normal MS by formatting??

I'm pretty sure that all a magic memory stick is is a memory stick + the pandora's battery files. The formatting part may change the memory card from FAT32 to a different format, which might cause issues, but other than that it should function just like a normal card.

The battery on the other hand needs files which you have to extract from the battery itself to restore it back into a normal battery. I believe you can do this with the program that turns it into a pandora's battery, you just need to make sure you back up the data somewhere so it doesn't get deleted.

Could the fact that a MS isn't the correct FAT type cause it to be really slow, and be faulty?
P.S. Thank. that helps! ;)
