3.4E - I'm stuck with Softchip and Backup Launcher

Hi,
My console is new and its fw is 3.4E
I succeeded to install the Homebrew Channel according the Zelda procedure, then my target was to install the softchip and the backup Launcher but when I try to do so, I only get a black screen on my TV and nothing happens.
I sumup the steps I did so far:
1) Installed HBC
2) Installed IOS16-64-v257.wad
3) Installed cIOS249-v7_waninkokoFULL-nw7.wad
Now, if I try to install the softchip or backup launcher, I only get a black screen on my TV.
If I try to uninstal the cIOS249-v7_waninkokoFULL-nw7.wad I get an error ret= -1017 and if I try to uninstal the IOS16-64-v257.wad I cannot get the wadmanager to load (black screen on TV).
So I cannot do anything and have no idea on how to get out this situation.
I was thinking to use the cIOS uninstaller but before doing so, and if you think it necessary, I want to be sure there is no risk to brick my console.
Other people have followed the just said procedure with 3.4E without any problem, therefore I was confident it could work for me too, hope you can help me to understand what I am doing wrong.

You're skipping the IOS downgrader option. You have to run the IOS downgrader or you won't be able to get cios installed. Run that, and then install ciosv7. What the hell is a softchip? You mean softmod?

You're skipping the IOS downgrader option. You have to run the IOS downgrader or you won't be able to get cios installed. Run that, and then install ciosv7. What the hell is a softchip? You mean softmod?
Does it mean I have to downgrade my fw to 3.x?
As far as I have seen, the cIOS is installed, at least the procedure shows that it installs, but of course, I can try to downgrade and then run the cIOS installation again.
By softchip I mean the Homebrew Channel application made by the Softchip team, my understand of softmod is a way to say that the console is not modded by means of hardware modification.

I am wondering, before going through the IOS downgrader option, why is this necessary?
My understanding is that if the IOS16-64-v257.wad has been used, then there is no need to use the IOS downgrader.
I am confused and I want to be sure next step I will take is correct.

I tried the IOS downgrader but unfortunately, I get a black screen and nothing happens.

Ok dude, I had this problem, I don't know if it will help you out or not, but just try it. I turned Connect24 OFF then I went and ran the IOS Downgrader it worked YAY!!!! Then after the downgrader I reinstalled the IOS249 and it worked too. It was because connect24 was on the I was gettig the -1017 error. I just booted a backup then and it works perfectly!

ok, I got a strange problem. I had installed everything corectly and installed a handful of wads and moved them to my SD card. My SD Card got messed up and I had to reformate it and start over with my wads. Now when I try and install the wads again Im getting either Error ret=-1 or Error =-1017
nothing was updated between it working and not working. It was working, I went to lunch, I came back it wasnt working. If anyone can shed some insight and tell me whats the deal... Im so frusterated at this
