Question about backing up PS3. Can I transfer files from Flash Drive to PC (NTFS)?

I have an 8gb flash drive. I backed up my PS3 onto it, but I don't want to keep it on there. Could I copy the folder and files to my PC (NTFS) and store it on there instead of my flash drive incase I need to format my PS3?

That should be okay. Data is data. When you go from your PC to your USB drive, you go from NTFS (usually) to FAT32, anyway, so I don't see how it would be any different going the other way.
