Long story short I made this Pandora battery a year ago and my PSP has been working fine since. I recently replaced the Faceplate/Analog stick assembly on my PSP and while trying to do something or another I seem to have bricked it (Green light comes on, but the screen does nothing and it turns off after 20 seconds)
I followed the Universal Unbricker guide here and loaded up my SanDisk Memstick fine but I can't seem to "Charge" my pandora battery to the point where I don't need to use an AC Adaptor (I think that interferes with the whole booting process?)
I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do...When I turn on my PSP w/ the Pandora Battery and Magic Memstick the power light just flashes from green to orange and then turns off...the WLAN/Mem lights show no activity and I'm never taken to the XMB.
I did as you stated but am I supposed to leave the PSP on while doing this? The problem I have is that my Pandora doesn't have a charge at all thus the PSP can't turn on.
It sounds like the power save setting kicks in at 10 minutes and turn your psp off, while the screen isn't on or is not connected. If your psp does not show any thing on the screen I think your psp screen is not powering up at all(which leads to idea that the psp is powered on but the screen isn't), however if you do see something on the screen it would be a software problem. My theory is that you might have disconnected or mess up the screen while you were doing your faceplate mod. Think of it as your pc being on, however your monitor is dead/not connected/or sucks. To fix that, I would try opening our psp and check out if any thing went wrong. You should try powering up the screen while you have your psp disassembled. However, if your psp does power up with the screen at powered on black screen state. Then you would most likely have to do a custom install of a firmware to fix it. Just pandora it.

3, Insert MMS
4, HOLD the left shoulder button
5, while still holding the L button, insert Pandora
If your Pandora is right, the console will turn on automatically when you do this.

Interesting, however I'm not sure if its the screen or not, when I powered on the PSP it boot up just fine and I kept double checking to make sure the screen was okay because I figured it was a fragile thing.
I would basically power on the PSP a few times with the faceplate off with no risk of ESD and then with the faceplate on it would turn on just fine.
Hell the PSP was working for a few hours before I seem to have bricked it - I'll check the screen when I get home though
