my pc allready plays all the media types I need, but my ps3....

ps3 needs to play mkv to remain divx certified :) (is their a smiley for fingers crossed ?)

If you buy new DivX Plus HD Certified device, then yes.

How can a dvd player output an mkv file? Isnt a dvd player 480? And most mkv are 720 and 1080? Plus it would be a pain to invest in dual layer DVDs to fit a high quality mkv. Who wants to play a 4.7 gb mkv file? Kind of defeats the purpose.

also come with usb port for connecting external hdd
