just bought a starview 4 box never flashed before help please

Hi just wondering if anyone can help me with a starview 4 box it needs flashing and ive never flashed before! any help would be gratefull

in the eamos library download and save the loader file and the bin file to your computer.both available in the latest fixes dated dec2008.
connect the rs232 cable to comp and box.make sure box is on standby.
load the gtrom loader onto the screen and in the file insert place the bin file and then press start.
on the box a display from 1 to 100 should occur and also on the screen in percentage.when its finished,wait for download complete ,disconnect the box and then your ready to attach the box to your tv and scan..the rest can be found on this forum...hope that helps

Instructions SV4 Supr USB
To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port at the back of the receiver.
Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB at the bottom of the screen.
Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the (Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen.
Highlight "theboxsuperusb_v1.01_beta" with the remote and press the ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box.
Once that is complete, do that again but with the "TheBoxSuperUSB_BG_LOGO_080904" file.
Once that is done,
? Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,
? Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W or TW
? Then automatic scan
? Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
? Press menu then 1570,
? Go down to the bottom option and turn EMU to ON.
? Now exit 3 times and go to S*y Sports and let it update.

hey guys.
i need help!! i have got this far:

but mine has stayed at 0% and it says downloading please wait for the past twenty mins...any ideas???
im going insane!!

Thats old firmware, you need the v1.07 for the uk.
Or v1.09 for Ireland.

Menu > 1570
Turn keycode on.
Go to set default key & press ok.
Exit to s*y sports (uk) or s*y two (Ireland)
It should now update for you.

Sorry mate, I misunderstood what you were saying (Long day).
Delete the firmware from the usb & download it again from eamos library. Should work for you.

thanks so much!!
that worked and I now have a load of channels except they all have that dollar sign bar setanta and rte 1 so i cant see them...any ideas?
hope ur day was just a long one ad not a bad long one :-)

Press menu, 1570 on remote, turn keycode on. Exit out to Sly Sports and let it update.

If keycode is on put it on CN Too and leave it for a minute or two and see if it updates.
If it doesn't press, menu, system setup, system info and post what it says please.

one more thing!
in nagravision should the provider ID, key num (00) and key data be something in particular? I see they can be changed, which i did and now dont know what they were originally - eek!

i have it working!!! its a miracle!
the dollar signs still show but they are now showing, perhaps the sign always so (?).

The $ sign will always appear alongside each/all encrypted channel/s in TV listing, it is normal.
