Thanks to all those that post the guides and take the time to troubleshoot for the rest of us.
I have an HP with factory SATA Optiarc DVD RW AD-7201S5 and nVidia GeForce 8500 GT. I have followed all the guides but still burn coasters on ImgBurn. I heard there are some errors because of certain settings between the components - any ideas?

Can you post the log from imgburn when you get a coaster?

at what percent is it erroring out? as was said please post a log for us to view. also what type of dvd's are you using?

It goes right to the very end and then gets the error. I use Verbatim DVD+R (the good ones). I am going to have to burn another to get the log details. I will post back then.

is this one game or two? it looks like one game burned fine then the next didnt? let me know. also, have you tried burning a different image file?

I just tried another backup - this one completed with success but wouldn't load when I tried to boot it up. Any ideas?

I also changed the OS recently due to not enough drivers available in XP for my cpu which was a new vista loaded machine. This make any difference?
