Currently I have a Virgin Media internet and tv connection but I want to end my subscription. If I do this will my starview box still work.

It is possible that the line will be left LIVE and if si then you will be fine, but it is NOT guaranteed, and could be cut at any time, so why don't you keep the basic package or just the broadband if you want it guaranteed..
