burning problem?

I have finally got everything installed on 3.4 and burned a downloaded game to check and it says it cannot read the dvd. I have used nero writing at 4x and imgburn at x2. I am using sony dvd+r. Do I need i different type of dvd brand or whats the problem?

Consensus says DVD-R TY or Verbatim.

I have used Memorex -R and +R in the past with varying degrees of success.

As always with Wii and backups. YMMV.

Can you booktype the plus format to dvd-rom?

If not,then dash format ty or Verbatim, no less than 4x burn speed.

Booktyped Ricoh's also working on my Wii.
