Well, if it means asking a question to avoid bricking my wii, I really don't care. I looked at the thread you linked and it's still not enough for me to just flippantly accept the update.
Thanks again to penguin for the help. Apologies to those that were so bothered by the 10 seconds it took to read my post.
NTSC(U) Game + NTSC(U) Wii = No chance of a region brick
PAL Game + PALWii = No chance of a region brick
NTSC(J) Game + NTSC(J) Wii = No chance of a region brick
that didn't even take me 10 secs to look up, copy and paste from that exact thread that I linked you to above.
Can we not get into a flame war please? It really doesn't accomplish anything. The newbies are always going to ask newbie questions, telling them off isnt going to make any difference.
Not telling off just hoping that another noob that has been searching "for the life of me" who happens to run across a thread or two with these types of repetitive questions might actually take the time to search a little before posting out of laziness with a validation inside claiming to have already looked for the answer.
Most don't ever look, they just post and say, "I've already looked so don't flame me" and then proceed to ask anyway.
This has become some an issue that the mods have seen fit to make it a point in their THIRD bullet down in the stickies. Hell there's even a full guide on how to search for those lacking the will to look for themselves:
