Hi!

I just recently bought a slim psp (psp-2004, has 3.95 firmware so I'm pretty positive it has a TA-088v2 motherboard) and I'm trying to mod it, but I'm having problems with the battery. When I put the pandorized battery in, the psp does nothing. I can turn the psp on normally by pushing the power switch and charge it so the battery can't be completely broken. As if it would be a normal battery. I've tried both methods: cutting the copper trace and removing the 5th pin on the battery (the chip the pin is connected to moved a bit but all the other pins seem to be ok). Neither one of them has worked.

Does someone have an idea what might be wrong with it?

i assume your magic memory stick you made has the multi boot IPL installed otherwise your psp wouldn't be able to boot normally.

so i need more info to figure this out since you didn't mention anything about the magic memory stick that you need to do this or wether you was holding the L trigger after you put in your magic memory stick and before putting in the pandora battery

if you magic memory stick does have the multi boot IPL then your pandora battery could be fine and the problem is probabaly in the mms if your mms doesn't have the ipl then your battery is still just a normal battery

i find it easy to use a phat psp and phat battery to make pandora batterys without opening them and for making mms i use pandora deluxe v 3.0 i have some links in my signature that may help you get started.
