I need a little bit of help as a newbie to the wii and the twilight hack. I have a wii with 3.3 firmware and I have installed the firmware hack to the system and for what I can tell it seems to have worked. The problem comes when I try to play a backed up disk that I have created the wii will not recognize the disk. The backup was created using rawdump 2.0 and burnt to a ritek 8x dvd-r 4.7g disk at 4x. Any help would be much appreciated.

Need some more details. you say you "installed the firmware hack to the system and for what I can tell it seems to have worked." Do you have the HBC channel? Do you have the backup loader? Are you trying to load the disc via the normal disc menu or through the backup loader? Are you getting any sort of error message?

Thanks for your response, I do have the hbc and I am trying to load the game though the disk loader 0.1 gecko program in the hbc. The error is a bit hard to read as the text is over the top of its self but it looks like it says disk id fail. Thanks again

just get verbatim dvd-r or memorex dvd-r and burn. It fixed my problem

verbatim have always worked good for me, ritek disc have been inconsistent for me in the past

I have tried a memorex disk but no luck, I was wondering after reading a few threads and forums if I have to use a different version of the hack or backup loader because of the wii's firmware version 3.3. Any ideas are welcome.

Ok, looks like it could be software related. I had a mate take one of the disks I had burnt to work and another guy tried it on his wii and it worked fine. Turns out he was running version 3.2 firmware on his wii where I am running 3.3. So looks like I may have to change from 3.3 to 3.2 or is there a disk loader program that will work with 3.3 firmware and what do I need to do to load it eg can I just change the disk loader program on the sd card or do I have to uninstall and install. Please help
