I am using an official 360 wireless adapter with a bt homehub. I've set it up and put the wpa key in but the xbox wont connect to live. It works fine with a wired connection. There's a red light on the adapter if that helps.

had the same problem ..go to settings type in a different mac adress.red light means not connected..

i've gotten the problem once. all i did was went and tested the connection in the xbox settings, then checked the problem as to why it wouldn't work(couldn't find ip, etc.) then searched for a solution online

try rebooting turning the modem off and the router at sametime and then turn modem on and let it start all the way then the router and start all the way then the 360. sometimes they get out of sync the router and modem

Is your 360 setup for DHCP or Static?
Do you have ports forwarded or upnp enabled in your router to accept live service?

Can't really help you much with wpa since I dont use it and dont have much experience with using it.
