Hello all.

I just finished installing my Wiikey 2. I got it installed, and the drive is screwed back in, but I wanted to make sure it worked right before I screwed the case together.

I put in my original copy of Wii Sports and everything works fine... the game is recognized, loads, and plays perfectly.

Upon putting in a burned copy of Wii Sports, the game is recognized and loads just fine. However, when I try to play Tennis (only one that I tried) I can select my Mii and game style, but right after I have to press A + B, I get a black screen that says it can not read the disc.

Details:
.iso Name: SPORTS PACK for REVOLUTION
.iso Size: 4,699,979,776 bytes
DVD Media: Memorex DVD+R 16x 4.7GB 120min
Burner: PBDS DVD+-RW DS-8W1P BD1B
Burning Application (1st burn): Active@ ISO Burner
Burning Application (2nd burn): ImgBurn with Verification

I know most people say to stay away from Memorex for Wii Backups, but that is all I have around right now.

Do you think it is just a media issue? Can I assume the chip is installed correctly and put my case back together?

Any and all help would be appreciated! Thanks so much!!!

I would definitely say bad media.

You are able to load the backup disc so it can be safely assumed that the modchip is working.

Thank you for the quick response!

Do you have a preference for media? I know most people on here say that the Verbatim DVD-R is best. I have also heard that it depends on which country they are coming from. How can you get that information?

I have heard good things from Super Media Store. Do they sell anything that would be good for backups?

Sorry for the double post, but I just put the first disc back in and it seems to be working?!?! I don't expect it to last, but just wanted to give you the info in case it was relevant.

Thanks.
